
Bio
Priya Fink is a Chicago-based flutist, originally from Houston, Texas. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Flute Performance with a minor in Communication and Media from DePaul University and an MBA in Arts Innovation from The Global Leaders Institute. Priya teaches flute at Sistema Ravinia with the Reach, Teach, Play education program. She has also taught with the Chicago Youth Symphony and helped develop integrated arts curriculum as a Teaching Artist with the University of South Florida’s REACH Grant.
An experienced orchestral player, Priya is a substitute flutist for the New World Symphony and has performed with orchestras such as the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Civic Orchestra of Chicago, Opera Festival of Chicago, Ballet Indiana, DePaul University Symphony Orchestra, Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra, Sewanee Symphony, and the Interlochen Philharmonic. In addition to orchestral playing, she is passionate about chamber music and creative collaboration through performance. Priya is the founder and director of “The Middle”, a unique concert series centered around musical fusion and audience engagement.
The core of Priya’s work and musical aspirations center around using music as a tool for social change. She is passionate about community engagement and arts equity. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outside, reading, and making pottery.
