Bio
Priya Fink is a Chicago-based flutist, originally from Houston, Texas. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Flute Performance with a minor in Communication and Media from DePaul University and an MBA in Arts Innovation from The Global Leaders Institute. Priya teaches flute at Sistema Ravinia with the Reach, Teach, Play education program. She also teaches with the Chicago Youth Symphony and is a Teaching Artist with the University of South Florida’s REACH Grant.
An experienced orchestral player, Priya has performed with orchestras such as the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Civic Orchestra of Chicago, Opera Festival of Chicago, Ballet Indiana, DePaul University Symphony Orchestra, Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra, Sewanee Symphony, and the Interlochen Philharmonic. In addition to orchestral playing, she is passionate about chamber music and creative collaboration through performance. Priya is the founder and director of “The Middle”, a unique concert series that brings together musicians from different genres to perform together to learn and grow from and with one another.
The core of Priya’s work and musical aspirations center around promoting equal access to the arts and using music as a tool for social change. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outside, reading, and making pottery.
